Los Angeles: Former US President Barack Obama has also made his mark in the entertainment industry. Nobel Peace Prize winner Obama won the Emmy Award for Best Narrator for the documentary ‘Our Great National Parks’.
Our Great National Parks, a five-part documentary series on Netflix, is produced by Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground Company. National parks around the world are introduced through this documentary. Two-time US President Obama has previously won two Grammy Awards for Best Music for Audiobook Readings based on his memoirs, “The Audacity of Hope” and “A Promised Land”. Obama is halfway to winning the EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Awards). He is the second President to receive an Emmy Award. Eisenhower was previously awarded a special Emmy in 1956.

‘Black Panther’ Star Chadwick Boseman Appears on Disney Plus ‘What If…?’ The Emmy Award for the Creative Arts was awarded posthumously to the series. His wife, Taylor Simone Ledward, accepted the award on Boseman’s behalf. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, David Attenborough and Lupita Nyong’o also received awards at the awards ceremony held at Microsoft Theater on Saturday.
