Durga festival is being celebrated with pomp in the country
Durga festival is being celebrated with pomp in different parts of the country. Every year there is a grand Durga Puja tradition on the occasion of Navratri. Maa is worshiped during nine days. Maa Durga and her nine forms are worshiped in every corner of the country. It is said that it was first started by a young man from Bengal in the ninth century.
A scholar from Bengal named Raghunandan Bhattacharya also mentions the first time Durga Puja was held. According to another legend, for the first time in Bengal, Durga Puja was organized by a Zamindar Narayan of Tahirpur under the direction of a Pandit named Kulak Bhatt. The ceremony was completely familiar. It is said that Durga Puja was greatly promoted in Bengal by friends and Senavanshis.
