FIFA 23: Rs. 5 India Pricing Glitch Sales Will Be Honoured, EA Says

FIFA 23 buyers who managed to pre-order the game for Rs. It can be priced at 4.80 on the Epic Games Store. A recent pricing glitch allowed Indian gamers to pre-order Rs. 4,799 Ultimate Edition on PC, under Rs. 5. EA Sports has now revealed and acknowledged the error on their part, and will honor all purchases made during the brief period. FIFA 23 launched on 30 September on all major platforms including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One and Windows PC.

The glitch was spotted last month just after EA Sports unveiled the first official trailer for FIFA 23. The Indian version of the Epic Games Store made a mistake by putting the decimal point in the wrong place, moving the price below Rs. 4,799.00 to Rs. 4.80. Early birds kicked off the deal and shared their joy on social media, urging users across the world to change their region to India and pre-order it at bargain prices. The error was not seen on any other platform or on Steam.

The error was eventually corrected, and players were concerned that Epic Games would either deny the purchase or demand a balance. However, in a series of emails sent to said customers, EA Sports has apologized, assuring them that they will be able to keep the copy. “A few weeks ago, we scored a pretty great goal when we inadvertently offered FIFA 23 a pre-purchase on the Epic Games Store at the wrong price,” said an email sent to players by EA Sports. “It was our fault, and we wanted to let you know that we will honor all pre-purchases made at that price.”

Pre-orders of FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition offer three days of early access to the game starting September 27th and a bunch of in-game rewards. Players will receive 4,600 FIFA Points to spend on their Ultimate Team, a FUT Ones to Watch Player Item, a Team of the Week 1 Player, and cover star Kylian Mbappé as loan items for 5 matches.

FIFA 23 comes with new Hypermotion 2 technology, which adds next level realism to the in-game pitch in both men’s and women’s World Cup modes, and support for seamless cross-play across PC, Xbox and PlayStation systems. Is. EA also released an Ultimate Team Deep Dive trailer, detailing the new bite-sized FUT Moments mode, changes to the player chemistry system, and a FUT World Cup mode — details of which are still sparse.

FIFA 23 is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X on 30 September. As stated above, purchasing Ultimate Edition or subscribing to EA Play Pro gives you three days of early access starting September 27th. FIFA 23 Legacy Edition will be available on Nintendo Switch.
