According to the AP, President Biden said in a statement that as new versions of the virus come out, we will be able to update our vaccine annually. He said Americans can get it like the annual flu shot until Halloween.

It also tells people 12 years and older to take another dose of the vaccine if they haven’t already. Ashish Jha, coordinator of the White House COVID-19 Response Team, said that the ‘annual COVID shot will provide a high level of protection against serious illness throughout the year for a large community in the US. This is a milestone.’
Meanwhile, America’s top infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci has warned that if the vaccine is not taken at the right time and at the right intervals, then rapid changes in the virus can increase the risk of infection.
