The expansion is the first major content update for Cyberpunk 2077, apart from its terrifying launch on all platforms — PS4 and Xbox One, in particular, in addition to several patches that have been deployed to fix the game. That said, this new DLC won’t be coming to last-gen consoles, and the studio hasn’t mentioned any future planned launches.

The Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty trailer reveals not much other than a voiceover that sees our main character, V, pledge allegiance to the “New United States of America.” There is some brief, PC-captured footage of the rise of the oppressive regime in Night City, featuring dead government officials wielding an electric whip, and a new mystery character with an American flag on his chest. The teaser ends with voiceover from Silverhand warning us against swearing, calling it a “bad idea.” The Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty expansion called for a “new style of plot” and characters that expanded into a district of Night City.
