The Grand Tour Presents: A Scandi Flick Release Date, Trailer Unveiled by Amazon Prime Video

The Grand Tour Presents: A Scandi Flick has received its first official trailer ahead of its premiere on September 16. On Thursday, Amazon Prime Video dropped the trailer, showing excerpts from the latest edition of its muscle car-focused series. The iconic trio – Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May – are back to travel across the frozen lands of Norway as they engage in a ton of snowy fun and rally car racing. The feature-length special, “A Scandi Flick,” gets its name from real-life driving technology that includes oversteer and weight shift.

After trying their hand with bomb diffusers and propeller-powered cars in “Carnage Trois”, the trio will now experiment with racing on frozen lakes, creating chaos in Norway. “We’re here to drive into Europe’s last great wilderness,” host and star Clarkson reads from her phone in The Grand Tour Presents: A Scandi Flick Trailer. It then cuts to clips of the trio dragging skiers across the field, all while being attached to their race cars. “one of them [skiers] Got only one leg,” Clarkson noted in amazement. During the lockdown the Grand Tour was limited to Scotland, England and Wales – all three live in the UK – due to COVID-19 restrictions.

While Hammond and May brought high-speed rally cars like the Subaru Impreza STI and Mitsubishi Evolution VIII to the special, Clarkson will drive a safer Audi. For the reason, he jokingly remarks that it is just because he is “old” now. With The Grand Tour: A Scandi Flick, fans can expect to see a variety of pranks and stunts, starting in May pulling down entire bus stops, to high-velocity racing in neon-lit tunnels. “Bap re bap! The light isn’t coming on,” cried Clarkson as the bulbs struggle to keep up with the pace of their ride inside the dark walls.

When filming with vehicles with such low temperatures and frequent blizzards, the engines shut down and eventually cause the entire shell to freeze. To counteract this, The Grand Tour hosts try to set the car on fire before cutting down submarine bases from the Cold War, and suffer thrilling accidents when they try to pull a wooden shed through the woods. There is a bunch. The End of The Grand Tour Presents: A Scandi flick trailer shows the trio exiting a makeshift, dome-shaped house that appears to be a museum exhibit. The hosts had probably taken refuge there all night, waking up to find unsuspecting tourists flocking to the area. “I’m not wearing any trousers,” Hammond says in an embarrassed tone.

The Grand Tour Presents: A Scandi Flick will be released on September 16 exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. In the first Season 4 – which debuted in 2019, turning the series into a feature-length special only – the trio has been to Vietnam, Reunion, Madagascar and across the UK.
