Kyiv On Tuesday night, 21 people were killed in Russian firing in the central region of Ukraine. Governor Valentin Reznichenko said on the Telegram messaging app on Wednesday that 11 people were killed in the Nikopol district and 10 in the city of Marganets. He said that there has been massive destruction.

Earlier on Tuesday, Ukraine’s presidential office informed that Russia has opened fire on a nuclear plant under its control. Dnipropetrovsk governor Valentin Reznichenko said the Russian military fired more than 120 rockets from the Grad multiple rocket launcher in the southern city of Nikopol. The city is located on the banks of the Dnieper River near the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant. He said several apartments and industrial establishments were damaged in the shelling. Ukraine and Russia have recently accused each other of shelling near Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, the Zaporizhia Nuclear Plant, increasing the risk of a nuclear accident.
