Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has received death threats after supporting Salman Rushdie. After the attack on Rushdie, Rowling wrote on Twitter on Friday, ‘Terrible news. I am feeling very sick now.’ After that a Twitter user named Mir Asif Aziz threatened to say, ‘Don’t worry, the next number is yours’. According to the Daily Mail, Aziz is an alleged Iran-backed Islamist extremist who praises Rushdie’s attacks. She described herself on Twitter as a student, social, political and research activist based in Karachi. Aziz’s Twitter account has since been deleted.
