Difference between Ram and Shyama Tulsi

Shyama Tulsi
Shyama Tulsi leaves are dark green or purple in color. According to Hindu scriptures, Shyama Tulsi was very dear to Lord Krishna. Kanha was also known as Shyama. That’s why this Tulsi is called Shyama Tulsi. It is considered to be less sweet than Ram Tulsi.

Ram Tulsi leaves are green in colour. It is believed that Ram Tulsa was very dear to Lord Rama, hence it is called Ram Tulsa. Ram Tulsi leaves are very sweet and it is very auspicious to plant them at home. Its use increases happiness and prosperity in the house. Only Ram Tulsi is used in worship.
Plant this Tulsi at home
It is very auspicious to plant a plant of both Ram and Shyama Tulsi in the house. But due to the use of Ram Tulsi in worship, only Ram Tulsi is cultivated in most of the houses. It also opens the way for progress.
On the other hand, the most auspicious days to plant Tulsi are Thursday, Friday and Saturday. If you garland Tulsi on this day, then by the grace of Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi, you will get a lot of wealth and happiness. On the other hand, offering Tulsi on Ekadashi, eclipse day, Sunday, Monday and Wednesday is considered inauspicious.
