According to a report, the man was preparing for a major surgery and luck favored him all three times. In an interview with the Sun, he said, ‘I accidentally bought three tickets at once and I lost all three times. It was incredible.’ His winning number was based on his wife’s birthday. The numbers 5-1-3-5-9 brought him the jackpot. He revealed that he had forgotten that he had bought afternoon and evening tickets for the Pick 5 game and that his wife had inadvertently bought a second ticket for the day.

When the elderly couple came to know that they had bought so many tickets, they thought of wasting the money. But they did not know what fate had in store for them. The couple won a total of $150,000 (approximately ₹1,22,82,030).
