How did the protest start?

Let us tell you that the anger of Iranian women erupted when 22-year-old Mehsa Amini was detained by the police for not wearing a hijab and then she died suspiciously in police custody. The family alleges that the police brutally tortured her, leaving her seriously injured and later she died. The mother of the deceased, Mahsa Amini, has directly accused the police of assault, while the police have denied the allegations. Mahsa Amini was arrested on 13 September in the capital Tehran and died on 16 September. According to the report, a few hours after the arrest, Mehsa Amini’s condition deteriorated and she went into a coma, after which she was admitted to the hospital. She was a mother with her family in Tehran Ghoom, where she was arrested for not wearing a hijab.
