Now the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) has raised a big issue on inflation. On Friday, PBS said inflation as measured by the Sensitive Price Index (SPI) rose from the previous week to a record high in September.

According to the SPI, the annual inflation rate reached a record 45.5 per cent in September, the highest rate in a year. According to PBS, the inflation rate increased by 1.31 percent last week due to increase in vegetable prices. One of the main reasons for this is the devastating floods in the country. More than 33 million people are affected by floods in Pakistan.

Supply system stalled due to flood
According to the report, this was the third consecutive week when the rate of inflation has increased continuously. The supply system of goods has been badly affected due to dangerous floods in the country. Vegetables are not reaching the market, due to which the prices of vegetables have started touching the sky. Worldwide essential goods are in short supply.

31 The price of the goods has increased
New data from Geo News shows that in the last few weeks, the average prices of about 31 essential commodities including onions, tomatoes, eggs etc. have increased in the country. On the contrary, three commodities including some vegetables and ghee have also registered a decline. There are about 17 such items whose prices are still stable.

According to the report, since the floods in Pakistan, the prices of food items including onions have increased by 42.17 percent, tomato 13.25 percent, moong dal 7.94 percent, potato 6.97 percent, egg 3.84 percent, chicken 3.25 percent. wheat.
