Along with this, he also got a long standing ovation from the audience at the screening of his film ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ (Top Gun: Maverick Screening at Cannes). ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ will hit theaters on May 27. Tom was in tears after seeing the reaction of the people to his action film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the “Top Gun: Maverick” team entry included 8 fighter jets flying over the event.
These fighters emitted red and blue smoke to match the colors of the French flag. While attending the event, Tom Cruise did a long photo session with the fans and also gave them autographs. And later he joined his team for the screening. After the screening of the film, the audience responded with a 6-minute standing ovation, which brought Tom to tears.

Tom Cruise, Jennifer Connelly arrived at the event with the French Elite Acrobatic Flying Team ‘Patrol de France (PAF)’. The team flew over the Festival Palace for the screening of the film ‘Top Gun: Maverick’. Earlier in the day, after participating in a masterclass talk at the 1,000-seat Debut Theatre, Tom Cruise was given another tribute before the screening, led by festival director Thierry Framaux.
