A man hit a car near the US capital, then shot himself

Washington. In the US capital on Sunday, a man hit his car with barricades near the Capitol complex, then opened fire in the air and shot himself. Police gave this information. The incident happened just before 4 a.m. local time. The incident comes at a time when law enforcement agencies across the country are receiving threats of attacks and violent attacks on government buildings by federal officials after the FBI searched former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property in Florida. A warning has been issued.

The attack is reminiscent of an incident in April 2021 when a man rammed two police officers in the capital with a vehicle, killing one officer. Police officials said the man involved in Sunday’s incident rammed his car into a barrier and was about to leave when the vehicle caught fire. The identity of this person has not been revealed. Before the arrival of the police vehicle, the youth started firing in the air. Capital police said the man shot himself and died. Police said it did not appear that the man intended to target any member of parliament.

He said that the background of the deceased attack is being probed. At the same time, three people died in an explosion on Wednesday at a home in the city of Evansville in southern Indiana. The cause of the blast is not yet known but the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is investigating the matter. Evansville Fire Department Chief Mike Connelly said a total of 39 homes were damaged in the blaze at 1 p.m. He said at least three people were injured.
