US will give $ 1 billion rockets and weapons to Ukraine in preparation for the decisive battle, Zelensky

The US is giving Ukraine $1 billion in rockets, ammunition and other materials to fight the war from its defense reserves.

Announcing the shipment of new weapons Monday, Colin Kahl, Under Secretary of the US Department of Defense, said that at every stage of this conflict, we are focused on helping Ukraine based on evolving conditions on the battlefield. New US arms shipments will further strengthen Ukraine in the Ukraine-Russia war.

Analysts say that this supply of weapons to Ukraine will be of great help. According to AP news agency, this new US aid includes High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, HIMARS, NASAMS rockets, as well as thousands of artillery rounds, mortar systems and other ammunition and equipment. It also includes 50 M113 armored medical transports.

Last month, the US also announced an additional $27 million package in security aid to Ukraine. The announcement provides a total of more than $9 billion in US security assistance to Ukraine by the Biden administration. In a late night video address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the US for the package. He also said that we will use it 100 percent to protect our freedom.

Praising the Ukrainian army, Kahl further said that the Ukrainian army has performed well in whatever help it has received.
