Victim caught racial abuse on camera for more than 8 minutes
In the video, the accused can be seen shouting beef on the face of the victim.

New York. A case of racial abuse has come to light against an Indian-American man in the US state of California. According to NBC News, on August 21, Indian-origin Krishnan Jayaraman was attacked by 37-year-old Tejinder Singh in Fremont, California. Fremont police said in a statement that Union City’s Tejinder was booked on Monday on charges of civil rights violations, assault and breach of the peace. The report said that Tejinder was listed as Asian and Indian.
Victim Jayaraman recorded the racial abuse on his phone, which went on for over eight minutes, in which Tejinder is seen calling him a ‘disgusting dog’. Tejinder Jayaraman is seen shouting “Dirty Hindu” and “Beef-Beef” on his face during the abuse. According to Jayaraman, she does not consume meat, so the attack has hurt her. In the video, the accused was seen spitting on Jayaraman twice.

Jayaraman said he was horrified by the incident and later became even more upset to learn that the perpetrator was also an Indian. He told in an interview to NBC that he was scared of the incident, adding that on the one hand he was angry, but he was afraid what would happen if this man became very aggressive and then followed him?
Referring to the video, he asked the accused, ‘What do you think?’ The accused said that ‘You know that being a Hindu is a matter of shame? Disgusting. Then the accused spat on Jayaraman.
