Ubisoft+ Xbox launch could happen soon, new leak reveals

Ubisoft+ Xbox Launch Might Happen Soon, New Leak Suggests

Ubisoft+ — the publisher’s own game subscription service — may launch on Xbox soon. A Twitter user known for scraping the Xbox backend has found a Ubisoft+ logo, indicating the service is coming to Xbox soon. Ubisoft confirmed the arrival of its service to Microsoft’s platform in January, but did not provide any further details. Since Ubisoft+ is currently only available on PC, if this leak turns out to be true, it will debut on console platforms.

Originally launched in September 2019, Ubisoft+ functions similarly to Xbox Game Pass, providing over 100 quality titles from the publisher. This package includes new games and DLC at launch at a monthly cost of €14.99 (approximately Rs 1,201). Subscribers can redeem new rewards every month, so you can improve your gaming experience with boosters and customization items. There’s also an account ranking system, which adds to the longer you stay, offers redeemable in-game currency, loot boxes, and other items.

An earlier announcement confirmed that Ubisoft+, unlike EA Play, would not be included as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This means Ubisoft+ will be available as a standalone subscription, with Game Pass subscribers paying separately for uninterrupted access to Ubisoft games. Ubisoft may also implement a cut-down version of its subscription system, similar to that of Ubisoft+ Classics on PlayStation Plus, where the upper tiers (Extra, and Deluxe/Premium) gain access to their game libraries.

PlayStation Plus vs. Xbox Game Pass: Price, Game, Benefits, and Rest Comparison

While leaks should generally be taken with a grain of salt, ALumia_Italia has a proven track record in the past, even leaking the arrival of Immortals Fenix Rising to Xbox Game Pass’ August lineup. Is. Microsoft confirmed this last week, saying that Ubisoft’s Zelda-like title is coming to its service on August 30.

In other news, Tencent is trying to become the largest stakeholder in Ubisoft. The Chinese game company already owns a 5 percent share of the Assassin’s Creed publisher. According to ReutersTencent has “contacted the French firm’s founding Guillemot family and expressed interest in increasing their stake in the firm.”

Ubisoft+ is currently available on PC for €14.99 (approximately Rs 1,201) per month. There is no INR pricing, unfortunately, something that is expected to change as it arrives on Xbox.
