Treasure found, 2600 year old object found in cemetery, even scientists are surprised

New Delhi: How many days, a day, a month or a year can water last in an earthen pot? Of course you wouldn’t think so. But, after knowing what archaeologists have discovered in Egypt, you will also have this question in your mind. Some archaeologists in Egypt have found cheese that is 2,600 years old, and more importantly, it was found in a clay pot. It is really amazing to find cheese that is 2600 years old.

According to Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the discovery was made during an excavation at the Saqqara Cemetery on September 10 by a team of archaeologists. An ancient Egyptian language was found written on the pottery, while many pieces of cheese were found inside the pot.

Some archaeologists say that these objects belong to the time of the 26th or 27th Kingdom of Egypt. So according to the Met Museum, this thing is 2600 years old. The cheese is called halloumi, which means it is made from a mixture of goat and sheep’s milk, sometimes with cow’s milk. Its taste is slightly salty.

According to a report published by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in 2018, a similar vessel was found earlier and the cheese found in it was 3200 years old. That cheese is said to be the oldest cheese in the world.
