Cecil County Sheriff Scott Adams said a man, a woman and three children were found dead in a two-story home in Ilk Mills on Friday morning. These three children study in class 5th, 7th and 8th respectively. Although officials did not immediately release the identities of the victims, they assured that there was no danger to the general public.

The shooting took place in a cul-de-sac, a stretch of residential streets surrounded by wooded areas, about 97 kilometers northeast of Baltimore and a few miles west of the Delaware state line. Adams said it was a terrible day. People are constantly telling me worried and scared about this incident. This is sad and not uncommon in Cecil County. This is sad and scary.

Another official said that around 9 am, a person called from home that three children and a woman had been shot dead. When the police team reached there, one person was found dead. A semi-automatic handgun was lying near the deceased. The sheriff declined to comment on what the attacker’s motive might have been.

Officials said the bodies were lying at different places in the house. Meanwhile, a neighbor named Tom Driscoll said the couple had been living here with their three children for at least five years. The couple will stay here and the kids will stay in the hostel and they will come over for Christmas and other holidays. Officials said the three children included two girls and a boy.
