Sheikh Rahimullah Haqqani, the Taliban’s main religious cleric, was killed in an explosion in one of the capital’s districts on Thursday. Rahimullah was an Islamic scholar of the Taliban as well as a staunch supporter of the terrorist ideology.

According to a report in Tolo News, Haqqani’s death was confirmed by Islamic Emirate’s deputy spokesman Bilal Karimi. Haqqani was killed in a suicide bombing. At present, the police has started the investigation of this blast case.

A tweet by Tolo News said Sheikh Rahimullah Haqqani, considered a religious scholar, has died in an explosion at a school in Kabul. Islamic Emirate’s deputy spokesman Bilal Karimi confirmed the death of Sheikh Rahimullah Haqqani.

Maulvi Rahimullah Haqqani is considered the ideological mentor of Sirajuddin Haqqani, the current Interior Minister of Afghanistan. Rahimullah was also very active on social media. A social media account also has millions of followers.

This incident of explosion took place in a madrasa in Kabul. According to reports, it was a suicide attack in which Sheikh Rahimullah Haqqani was killed. It is being told that the suicide bomber was wearing a prosthetic leg and had explosives in it. He carried out the explosion with the help of detonator.
