The PS5 is getting a gray camouflage collection of accessories. Sony has revealed its new lineup of custom faceplates, a military-inspired DualSense controller, and a Pulse 3D wireless headset for the PlayStation 5. The variant adds to the Galaxy-inspired colorway options that were launched earlier this year, which didn’t have a headset to go with. Pre-orders for the PS5 Gray Camouflage Collection will go live in India and worldwide on September 15, with a global launch for the controller and faceplate slated for October 14. A camo-variant of the PS5 wireless headset will go on sale later in December.

The PlayStation design team has “reinvented” the original camouflage pattern to reflect a new feel, with small ridges in the shape of a PlayStation icon that act as an added grip for long gaming sessions. Custom faceplates function similarly to back covers, which can be easily replaced and clicked into place.
For those living in the US, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, the PS5 Gray Camouflage Collection will be available via early access playstation direct Member / Customer. This is, of course, ahead of the October 14 launch date, which sees the collection publicly for sale on the website. Sony also plans to distribute custom PS5 accessories through participating retailers starting October 28. While the website hasn’t been updated with details of the upcoming PS5 Gray Camouflage Collection, those looking for a change in theme can opt for the comic-inspired color options announced by Sony last year. Sony Center website currently lists The new Ice Blue, Cosmic Red, Purple and Pink variants of the PS5 DualSense controller – available at Rs. 5,990 in limited stock.
The PS5 faceplates/covers were exclusive to Amazon India at launch, so it will be interesting to see if Sony makes changes with the gray camouflage collection.
Sony hasn’t revealed any pricing for the PS5 Gray Camouflage Collection, though previous examples show custom controllers costing just Rs. 400 on a standard DualSense gamepad. Sony’s PS5 faceplate is priced at Rs. 4,690 in India. More details about the same will be revealed as we get closer to the launch date of October 14.
