Kuno National Park, PM Modi appeals to name the umbrella

Kuno National Park: 8 Cheetah (Project Cheetah) arrived in India from Namibia on Saturday. This species has become extinct in India and cheetahs have been brought to India after about seven decades. A special Boeing plane took off from the African country on Friday night. The plane reached India on Saturday after a 10-hour journey carrying cheetahs in wooden cages.

Eight pyre from Namibia were brought to the Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh on September 17, the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prime Minister Modi has appealed to name these eight cheetahs. Many people have suggested names after the appeal of the Prime Minister. Names like Milkha, Chetak, Vayu, Swasti, Twara have been given in this. Prime Minister Modi, in his radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, has appealed to citizens to participate in a competition related to the selection of names of these cheetahs on the government’s MyGov.in website.

Suggest a name for the pyre and get a reward
Prime Minister Modi has appealed to name cheetahs by participating in this competition and the winners will get a chance to go on a jungle safari to spot cheetahs in the Kuno National Park. If you also want to participate in this competition, then the last date of this competition is 26 October. PM Modi had said in his radio program Mann Ki Baat that it would take some time for the cheetahs to adapt to the new environment. The government will then decide whether the national park can be opened to the public.

Names suggested by people
So far people have suggested many names in the list of names of cheetahs. Names like Veer, Panki, Bhairav, Brahma, Rudra, Durga, Gauri, Bhadra, Shakti, Chinmayi, Chatur, Raksha, Medha and Mayur are given as options. So far 750 names have been suggested.
