Honda employees are in a state of confusion after receiving the memorandum. The employees have been directed to refund the overpaid bonus at the earliest. If employees ignore or do not respond to the memo, the bonus amount will be automatically deducted from their monthly salary.
The overpaid bonus deposited in the bank account will have to be returned to the employees. The employees have been given one day to decide how to return the amount. Employees have to inform the company whether they want to refund the amount now or want to deduct it from their monthly salary. A Honda spokesperson said via e-mail that bonuses and compensation to employees are sensitive.
Earlier this month, Honda Motors gave bonus to its partners. It has been said from Honda that some employees were overpaid at that time. Seeing the company’s memo, the employees are getting troubled. Some employees said that it is difficult to return the amount. The Marysville plant produces the Accord, CR-V, Integra, TLX and NSX.
