New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Japan on September 27 to attend the state funeral of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) gave this information during a press conference on Thursday. PM Modi had close relations with Shinzo Abe. Let me tell you, there is a very good relationship between the two. Abe will be cremated with full political honors on September 27. Prime Minister Modi will separately meet Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida during his visit.

According to reports, around 6,400 people are expected to attend the state funeral at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, including dignitaries from several countries. Recently, the current Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida said that the political funeral of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will be attended by several dignitaries from many countries such as US Vice President Kamala Harris, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and many others. US Vice President Kamala Harris will fly to Tokyo for Joe Biden and US Vice President Kamala Harris for Abe’s funeral, US Vice President spokeswoman Kirsten Allen said. According to the Japanese government, Abe was the longest serving prime minister and most successful leader. So this political funeral has been planned for Abe.

PM Modi said, my relationship with Shinzo Abe goes back many years. I knew him during my tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat and our friendship continued even after I became the PM. His views on the economy and global affairs have always left a deep impression on me. Modi said in a tweet that I am shocked and saddened by the tragic death of one of my dear friends, Shinzo Abe and I have no words to express it. He was a top world statesman, an outstanding leader and a wonderful administrator. He dedicated his life to making Japan and the world a better place. After Abe’s assassination, PM Modi declared a day of national mourning in India.
