The GoPro Hero 11 Black has just been announced, along with the GoPro Hero 11 Mini and GoPro Hero 11 Creator Edition. The new cameras are equipped with a larger sensor than the Hero 10 Black, which is capable of capturing images and videos in 8:7 aspect ratio. They also have 10-bit color support. The Hero 11 Black series features a next-generation HyperSmooth 5.0 stabilization system, a new HyperView lens, and offers an optionally simple user interface for beginners. The Hero 11 Black now comes with GoPro’s Enduro battery which is claimed to increase the recording time by up to 38 percent compared to the standard battery.

GoPro Hero 11 Black will be available in India starting today. 51,500. Hero 11 Black Mini to go on sale in November at Rs. 41,500. Meanwhile, the Hero 11 Black Creators Edition will be available in October, priced at Rs. 71,500. All models will be available through leading offline and online retail partners in India. The GoPro Hero 10 Black (Review) will continue to be priced at Rs. 46,500. The GoPro Hero 9 Black (Review) is also priced at around Rs. 37,000.
GoPro Hero 11 Black Specifications
The dimensions of the GoPro Hero 11 Black are similar to the Hero 10 Black. It gets the same 2.27-inch touchscreen display at the back and a color LCD display at the front for live preview. It is powered by GoPro’s GP2 processor and has a similar design. The camera is also waterproof up to 10 meters with no housing required.
Some of the new features of the Hero 11 Black include a larger 1/1.9-inch sensor (versus the 1/2.3-inch sensor in the Hero 10 Black) with a native 8:7 aspect ratio. GoPro claims that shooting with this field of view lets you crop your photos or videos with the Quicken app in either 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios without losing any quality. The new camera also supports shooting in 10-bit color, HyperSmooth 5.0 video stabilization with 360-degree Horizon Lock, new timelapse presets for capturing star trails or vehicle light trails, and easier controls for first-time users A tweaked interface. GoPro subscription, the company’s paid cloud backup service, will now send you an auto highlight video directly to your phone after auto-uploading the Hero 11 Black’s footage to the cloud, according to the company.
GoPro Hero 11 Creator Edition is designed for content creators and vloggers. The kit includes Hero 11 Black Camera, Volta Battery Grip, Media Mod and Light Mod.
GoPro Hero 11 Black Mini Specifications
The GoPro Hero 11 Black Mini is a callback to the Hero Session series and is essentially the Hero 11 Black, but in a more compact body, and without the touchscreen display. It is as tall as 11 black, but thicker and less wide. It also weighs less, at 133g. The Hero 11 Black Mini is designed for use in tight spaces and is said to be optimized for helmet mounting thanks to a second pair of fingers mounted on the rear. The Mini has a single monochrome status display at the top for checking settings, but shooting mode and preview needs to be configured on a connected phone with the QuickTime app. While the Mini has most of the main photo and video capturing options, like the standard Hero 11 Black, some advanced features like Raw Photo Capture, GPS, Scheduled Capture and Webcam Mode are missing.
