Egypt: Metro (Metro) is a very convenient and safe railway in which the most attention is given to women. But the participation of women in running the metro is very less in every country. Recently, in the Arab country of Egypt’s capital Cairo, two women have become the drivers of metro trains for the first time. Egypt is a country where more restrictions are imposed on women. The first metro was introduced in 1987 in the capital Cairo. For the first time after 35 years, it has recruited women drivers.
2 women have been appointed as metro train drivers. In which the name of one is Hind Umar and the name of the other is Suzanne Mohammed. Hind Umar’s age is 30 years and Sussanne’s age is 32 years.

Hind Umar said in an interview that “When I first saw the metro driver job advertisement, I was very happy and excited at that time. I believed that I would be successful in this position. Then I thought that if I get metro driver It will be the first time in Egypt that there will be a female metro driver. And it is a matter of great pride for me to be the first female metro driver in the country.”
“The biggest challenge for me was to get a job as a metro driver.
In an interview, Susan Mohamed said that working as a subway driver was the “biggest challenge” for me. Still, everything was going on as normal. I heard a lot of negative things from people but the truth is that I expected more from him and I was ready to hear it all. But on one hand many people were very happy to see this and were supporting me. Many people came to us and wished us all the best for the job. The Egyptian Transport Authority recently opened a new metro line in the capital. The Metro organization currently has a total of 78 drivers. More recruitment for women is being planned in the near future.
