Crypto Scammers Swarm To Take Advantage Of Verified Twitter Handles After Merge Arrival

However, the excitement surrounding this launch has been mixed with the threat of scams taking a toll on unsuspecting Ethereum enthusiasts, putting them at financial risk. Hackers are also changing the profile pictures of accounts similar to Buterin.

Members of the crypto community are urging each other to check the usernames of all handles featuring the name and picture of the Ethereum co-founder in order to identify and report fake ones.
