iShares offers currency-hedged exposure to companies from the S&P 500 Index with a best-in-class approach.

September 16, 2022. FRANKFURT (Frankfurt Stock Exchange). A new exchange-traded fund from iShares has been tradable on Xetra and on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since Friday.

The iShares S&P 500 ESG UCITS ETF provides exposure to US companies from the S&P 500 Index that have particularly high ESG ratings in the areas of environmental protection, social responsibility and governance compared to their peers. The selection is based on the best-in-class approach in order to achieve a sector group weighting similar to that in the parent index. The index is weighted by market capitalization.

Companies with a poor ESG score or those with business activities in areas such as tobacco, thermal coal or controversial weapons are excluded.
