India’s Tokyo Olympic medalist Bhavna Patel entered the women’s singles final by defeating Sue Bailey of England at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham on Friday.

CWG 2022: India’s Tokyo Olympic medalist Bhavna Patel will take on Sue Bailey of England in para table tennis at the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham on Friday. She defeated Sue Bailey of England 3-0 in the semi-final. She defeated Sue Bailey 11-6, 116, 11-6 in a 3-5 match to reach the final. Bhavna Patel defeated Akaniki Latu of Fiji to enter the semi-finals in the women’s singles category. They defeated Latu 11-1, 11-5, 11-1 in 3-5 matches.
Second, Sonalben Patel and Raj Aravindan crashed out of the singles competition after losing in the semi-finals. Raj lost his semi-final match against Nasalu Sule 1-3. Sule defeated Raj Aravindan 11-7, 8-11, 4-11, 7-11 in the men’s singles 3-5 match. Raj got off to a good start and won his first match. But they suddenly lost their momentum and lost the next three matches.
Also in Para Table Tennis, Sonalben Patel lost 1-3 in women’s singles category. Sonalben was defeated by Christina Akepo of Nigeria 1-3. Sonalben started well. They won their first match 11-8. But they lost the next three matches 6-11, 4-11, 7-11.

Sonalben Patel defeated Chinye Obiora of Nigeria to enter the semi-finals of the women’s singles category. He defeated Chinaye Obia 8-11, 11-5, 11-5 to reach the final.
