China has reportedly accused a US intelligence agency of hacking the Northwestern Polytechnical University in Xi’an. According to China’s National Computer Virus Emergency Response Center, the National Security Agency’s (NSA) Office of Tailored Access Operations carried out cyberattacks on the university which offers programs in aeronautics and space research. The NSA reportedly conducted more than 10,000 cyberattacks on Chinese targets in recent years, copying more than 140 gigabytes of data.
according to a report good After Bloomberg reported the attack overseas in June, a team from China’s National Computer Virus Emergency Response Center and 360 Security Technology analyzed the university’s information systems. He reportedly identified that the cyber attacks on the university were organized by the NSA’s Tailored Access Operations.
According to the report, the team claimed that the NSA carried out more than 10,000 “vicious” cyberattacks on Chinese targets in recent years, stealing more than 140 gigabytes of data with “great value”.

Northwestern Polytechnical University is affiliated to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It offers research programs in aeronautics, space science and marine technology engineering.
Beijing and Washington have been accusing each other of cyber espionage. In February this year, Beijing-based cyber security firm Pangu Lab said it discovered US-sponsored hacking activity in China.
