Why ban on PFI: which has been in discussion for the past few days Popular Front of India (PFI) And some other organizations have been banned by the central government. PFI The investigating agencies have accused the organization of carrying out terrorist and anti-national activities. In view of the activities of the PFI, the investigating agencies had recommended the Union Home Ministry to ban the organization. The Ministry of Home Affairs has banned this by issuing an ordinance.

The central government has given some reasons while banning PFI and other organizations. This is mentioned in the ordinance. The governments of Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Karnataka had demanded the Center to ban PFI.

– PFI made efforts to increase its base among youth, students, women, imams, lawyers etc. For this various institutions and organizations were established. Its purpose was to increase membership, influence and source of wealth.

PFI and its fraternal organizations are functioning as socio-economic and political organisations. However, as per their hidden agenda, they were trying to weaken democracy by turning a section of the society towards fundamentalism. This organization shows disrespect towards the constitution of the country.

The founding member of PFI was the leader of the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). Apart from this, the association of PFI with Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen (JMB) is also visible. Both these entities have been banned.

– PFI’s links with ISIS were found. There are some examples of their relations at the international level.

PFI and its associated brotherhood organizations are working to draw a community towards radicalization by creating a feeling of insecurity in the country. Some of its members have been found to be linked to international terrorists.

For these reasons, the Central Government considers it necessary to take action under Section 3, Sub-section No. 1 of the UAPA Act.

If PFI and its affiliated organizations are not banned then they can incite violence. A section of the country can create feelings against the country and do such acts which threaten the integrity, sovereignty and security of the country.
