Charleston, South Carolina, received at least 7.32 inches of rain in a 24-hour period from Thursday afternoon to Friday afternoon, according to preliminary data reported by the National Weather Service. The St. Coastal Reserve along the state’s coast in McClellanville received the most rain during that time frame, at 9.8 inches, according to Weather Service data.
