US billionaire Jeff Bezos’ space travel company Blue Origin expects a fourth successful mission late Monday after successfully launching three tourist flights into space this year. But Origin suffered a setback when the booster of the New Shepard Rocket 23 (NS-23) it had launched crashed. However, its capsule survived and returned safely to Earth. The good news is that this was a payload mission so there were no astronauts on board.
The NS-23 mission (New Shepard mission) was launched from West Texas with a delay of a full hour at around 7:55 am. The launch time of this mission was fixed at 7:00 pm. Lamp. The capsule then landed safely on Earth. The booster impacted the ground. No damage has been reported so far in the incident.

The abort system ignites to separate it from Orion

The Crew Escape System is also part of the Artemis-1 mission, which is preparing to launch its first mission to the Moon. The abort system consists of three solid rocket motors: the abort motor pulls the crew module away from the rocket. The attitude control motor steers and orientates the capsule. The jettison motor then ignites the launch abort system to detach Orion for parachute deployment and a safe crew landing.

During this ascent to the launch pad, the Launch Abort System will safely lift the Orion crew module off the Space Launch System rocket in the event of an emergency, NASA said. Blue Origin attributed the mission’s failure to a booster anomaly as it hit the ground seconds after the crew blasted the capsule away from it.
