According to information given in the Russian parliament, the heads of four regions of Ukraine asked Vladimir Putin to consider joining the Russian Federation after the referendum held on 27 September. After which the bill introduced on Monday regarding the merger was unanimously passed by the members of the State Duma.

State Duma chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said on his Telegram channel that this is the only way to save millions of lives from Ukraine’s criminal regime. He further said that Russia has accepted the demands of the heads of the four regions to protect the right of the people of the four regions to speak their mother tongue, culture, history and faith.

89 states increased in Russia
With the joining of Donets, Luhansk People’s Republic, Zaporizhia and Kherson to Russia, the total number of states in Russia has now increased to 89. The chairman of the Duma said that residents of these regions have been waiting for reunification with Russia for the past 30 years. At the same time, Vyacheslav Volodin emphasized that the ongoing special military operation in Ukraine was carried out to achieve its goals and objectives. Volodin warned that Russia was not going to withdraw from the war in Ukraine for the time being. On this occasion, representatives of the four regions participated in the plenary session of the State Duma and welcomed the decision of the Parliament of Russia.

Security forces of four provinces will be included in the Russian army
With the unanimously passed resolution to include the four regions of Ukraine into Russia, the Russian Parliament granted citizens of these regions all the rights that are available to Russian citizens. In this sequence, Russia is going to include the army made to fight Ukraine in these areas. People will now use ruble for transactions. However, until December 31, people from these regions can use Ukrainian hryvnia.
