Two small planes collide while landing in Northern California, death feared

California: Several people are reported dead after two planes collided while trying to land at a local airport in Northern California. Officials gave this information on Thursday. According to a USA Today report, the collision between the two planes took place at Wattensville Municipal Airport at around 3 pm local time.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, two people were on board the twin-engine Cessna 340 plane at the time of the accident. The Cessna 152 had a Sif pilot with one engine. There is little chance of any of them surviving. The FAA said in a statement that the two planes were about to land at the airport when they collided. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the accident.


In pictures and videos posted on social media, the wreckage of the plane can be seen scattered in the grass field near the airport. There is no report of any casualty on the ground in this accident. A small building at Wattensville Airport was damaged in the plane crash, but firefighters were on the scene and quickly brought the situation under control. Watersville is about 100 miles south of San Francisco.
