External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar made it plain during the UNSC meeting that if there is a fight for justice and peace, then a tremendous amount of effort must be made. He argued that the Security Council ought to make its position known. Politics should never be used as a means of avoiding accountability. External Affairs Minister Dr. Jaishankar lamented that politics is frequently used to further the cause of outlawing feared terrorists during the UNSC conference. He declared that this council should seriously take it into consideration if significant attacks in broad daylight go unpunished and the perpetrators are not held accountable. There must be consistency if credibility is to be guaranteed.

Dr. Jaishankar’s criticism on China

Jaishankar, the minister of external affairs, blasted China for its tolerant attitude toward terrorism. According to him, there shouldn’t be any politics involved in taking action against terrorists. China has blocked India and America’s demand to blacklist Pakistani terrorist Sajid Mir, which is significant.

Russian and Ukrainian negotiations

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar stated that dialogue should be used to end the Russo-Ukrainian war at the UNSC briefing on Ukraine. The need to immediately halt all hostilities and resume negotiations, he claimed, has been reiterated by India. PM Modi has recently reiterated that this is not a time for war.
