The Game Awards 2022 is scheduled for December 8, marking the ninth installment of the annual awards ceremony hosted by Geoff Keighley. Often considered the ‘Oscars for video games’, the show celebrates the best in video games, along with world premieres, showcasing big announcements and honoring winners in each category. A jury of over 100 publications – including Gadgets 360 – vote on The Game Awards. The Game Awards also collaborated with digital creation tool Core to create a virtual Metaverse setting for those interested in exploring the red carpet section.
IMAX will partner with the show to create The Game Awards: The IMAX Experience, a live community event in cities around the world to experience the annual event. Currently, there’s no word if this premiere is coming to Indian IMAX theaters – though we’d consider that highly unlikely.
