Shivaji University: Another pillar of honor is buried in the veins of Shivaji University. Shivaji University (UGC) has been accorded ‘Category-I’ status by the University Grants Commission. Therefore, the university has qualified to conduct online courses. Only Savitribai Phule University and Shivaji University are in this category in the state.

The university has got an ‘A-plus plus’ rating from NAAC with a CGPA score of 3.52. Hence, the University was accorded ‘Category-I’ status by the UGC. Hence, the university has qualified to get many legal facilities of UGC.

The Distance Learning Center has been recognized by the UGC for five consecutive years. Earlier this process had to be done every year. Vice Chancellor Dr. Digambar Shirke has said.

In 2018, the UGC decided to give graded autonomy to universities. As per ‘NAC’ (Bangalore), universities with CGPA scores of 3.51 and above are classified as ‘Category-1’, universities with scores between 3.26 to 3.50 as ‘Category-II’ and all other universities is classified as ‘Category-3’. ,

Can get many facilities

With the inclusion of Shivaji University in Category I, it has now become possible to take advantage of many facilities provided by the University Grants Commission. The university is now in progress and material development is underway. Vice Chancellor Dr. Digambar Shirke said.
