Senior Supreme Court advocate R Venkataramani appointed as the new Attorney General for India

New Delhi : Senior Supreme Court lawyer R Venkataramani has been appointed as the new Attorney General of the country. He has been appointed for the next three years. The Central Government has issued a statement in this regard and announced that this appointment has been made.

The tenure of current Attorney General KK Venugopal ends on 30 September. Earlier, the name of senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi was discussed for the post of Attorney General. But he turned down this proposal of the central government. After that R. Venkataramani has been appointed.
