Real estate major Hiranandani launches NFT, sale to fund needy engineering students

House of Hiranandani on Wednesday announced its entry into the Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) space. The Mumbai-headquartered real estate company has launched its first NFT series called ‘Dreamverse’ on the ‘ngageN’ platform, a Bangalore-based Indian marketplace. The proceeds from the sale of these NFTs will be used to help underprivileged engineering students at the Bangalore Institute of Technology. The pieces in this collection are dedicated to the engineers and architects who contributed to the landscape design embodied by the House of Hiranandani.

The builder firm shared the announcement along with a sneak-peek of the NFT on Twitter.

“History is in the making as we are now live with India’s first real estate NFT! Experience the blend of dreams and reality. Enter the world of Dreamverse and spread the magic,” read a tweet from the company.

According to ngageN’s page for Dreamverse, all five NFTs in the collection are already worth Rs. have been sold in 15,000 each. The total revenue collected so far is Rs. 75,000.

In August, KFC India had announced that their signature red and white striped bucket is all set to debut in the digital world as an NFT.

Cadbury Gems converted a bunch of children’s artwork into NFTs in July.
