Friday marks the last day of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. India, China, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have participated in this summit. India will host the SCO summit next year in 2023. In such a situation, a big question arises whether Pakistan will participate in SCO 2023 or not, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has given a big statement.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said in Samarkand, Uzbekistan that India will chair the SCO summit next year. No decision has been taken yet on whether Pakistan will participate in the SCO 2023 summit. He said that we hope that Pakistan will be removed from the FATF list soon. We want to tackle terrorism. Fighting terrorism is our priority not because of FATF but for the safety of our countrymen.

On the flood situation in the country, he said that India has not sought help. We are helping our people and many people have come forward to help Pakistan. Relief and rescue operations are on. Bilawal Bhutto further said that I do not think that the PM of Pakistan and the PM of India have clashed with each other on this issue. The leaders of all the participating countries in this summit want to do transit trade.
