A pivot and it starts again. After turning its back on the dark kitchen model, Not So Dark has returned to its place and is once again attracting the favor of investors. The French foodtech specializing in virtual restaurants has completed an $80 million fundraising round with funds Kharis Capital, Verlinvest and Convivialité Ventures. This brings to 105 million the amount of its financing since its foundation, in 2020.

“We raised a series B more impressive than our series A. This demonstrates that our new concept works”, comments Clément Benoît, the boss of Not So Dark. The company has been able to reinvent itself since it had originally chosen to operate dark kitchens from 150 to 500 m2. She opened a dozen of them, before closing them with a snap. A turnaround that cost him “about fifteen million euros”!
