New York. A statue of Mahatma Gandhi outside a Hindu temple in New York, US, was vandalized earlier this month by a group of six unidentified people, possibly out of hatred. India has strongly condemned this heinous act and has taken up the matter with the US authorities so that those responsible for this act can be held accountable. The New York City Police Department said in a statement to PTI that police received information at 1:30 a.m. on August 16 that “a group of six unidentified people had vandalized a religious image located in front of the Tulsi Temple.” With a hammer and a toad is given.’
