Kathmandu: Nepal’s Mount Manaslu base camp once again came under the grip of a severe avalanche on Saturday. A week ago, there was an avalanche incident here, in which three climbers were killed. More than a dozen climbers were injured. Of these, 5 were admitted to the hospital in critical condition, while 7 were evacuated safely. Missing American climber Hillary Nelson was found dead there. According to Gorkha police, another deceased has been identified as climbing assistant Anoop Rai. The incident occurred when the road just below Camp IV was hit by an avalanche. Sherpa climbers from Seven Summit Treks, Satori Adventures, Imagine Nepal Treks, Elite Expeditions and 8K Expeditions were injured.
