The teaser trailer for Monica, Oh My Darling is here. Netflix unveiled a minute first look at its upcoming Indian whodnit comedy starring Rajkummar Rao, Radhika Apte and Huma Qureshi. The film is helmed by Vasan Bala – known for Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota and Bombay Velvet – who describes it as a neo-noir that is “a model for films” with a perfect plan. which leads to devastation in the lives of the parties involved. .. Yogesh Chandekar (Andhadhun) wrote the screenplay for Monica, O My Darling, the teaser of which was first shown at an event in Mumbai on Monday, before hitting YouTube on Tuesday.
The teaser trailer for Monica, Oh My Darling is pretty vague on plot details. From what we gather, the character of Rao (Newton), who hails from the small, “foreign” town of Angola, is planning to commit the perfect murder. To accomplish his goal, he then meets Qureshi (Army of the Dead), who is running a crime business he should never trust. They are joined by Apte (Sacred Games) in the crusade, who informs Rao that no one should tell the backstory “so thorough”. Monica, O My Darling The teaser trailer focuses heavily on the story of the “Prince of Angola”, which is probably related to Rao’s motivation for the murder.
There is also a brief glimpse of Rao messing with robotic arms. It may have served as a murder weapon, as evidenced by Monica’s synopsis of O My Darling, which details “a robot crushing human skulls”, among other thematic elements such as lust, blackmail, and betrayal. The mission involves the trio, along with Sikander Kher (The Zoya Factor), who plays a henchman who constantly mocks Rao’s innocence. Other additions include Bhagwati Perumal, Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor, Sukant Goel (Dobara), and Zain Marie Khan.
“Monica, O My Darling has been a dream project for me and we cannot wait to entertain everyone with this twisted crime comedy packed with mystery and drama. It has been an absolute pleasure to associate with our stellar ensemble cast with Matchbox Shots and Netflix to bring this unique story to life,” director Bala said in relation to the production.
Netflix has yet to set a release date for Monica, Oh My Darling.
