Kuala Lumpur. A strong earthquake struck at around 8 pm on Tuesday night, 253 km northeast of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The National Center for Seismology has informed that an earthquake of 6.2 magnitude occurred here. At present there is no news of any loss of life or property. At the same time, four earthquakes were felt in less than six hours in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. There is no report of loss of life or property due to the earthquake. Officials said the quake struck late at 20:20 pm, with its epicenter 61 km east of the Katra region at a depth of 10 km. The second quake occurred late at 3:21 pm and measured 2.6 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was 9.5 km east of Doda in Jammu region at a depth of five km.
He said that the third earthquake of magnitude 2.8 was felt at 3:44 pm and the epicenter of the quake was 29 km from Udhampur. Earlier it was 10 km deep. Officials said the fourth quake struck at 8:30 am on Tuesday and had a magnitude of 2.9. The epicenter of the earthquake was 26 km southeast of Udhampur, five km from the ground. He was deep.
