Following the historic win for the first non-English language Korean series at the Emmy Awards, “Squid Game” director Hwang Dong Hyuk has created a sensation after saying that he had approached Leonardo DiCaprio for the series.

During a press conference held in Seoul to celebrate the stupendous success of the Emmy Awards, “Squid Game” director Hwang Dong Hyuk was asked, “Are any famous Hollywood actors going to be a part of Season 2?” To this the director said, “There is no Hollywood actor in Season 2 Yeh Hamari Planning Mein Hai. But there is room for it in Season 3. Leonardo DiCaprio had said that he is a fan of the ‘squid game’, if he gets a chance, he can ask him to be a part of the games.’

Season 2 of ‘Squid Game’ to shoot from next year

Hwang Dong Hyuk revealed during a press conference that the shooting of ‘Squid Game’ Season 2 is scheduled to start in 2023 and will be released in 2024. The production budget has also been improved and the next season of the game will be seen. It has become the most-watched series on Netflix since early 2021.
