Jamtara Season 2 finally has a release date: September 23rd. Netflix India announced on Wednesday morning that true-crime-inspired crime series Jamtara: Sabka Noor Ayeaga will return for a sophomore run next month. in Jamtara In Season 2, the stakes get higher for Sunny (Sparsh Srivastava) and Gudiya (Monica Panwar) as they push themselves deeper into the world of phishing and cyber-crime. With elections on the horizon, politicians — including Brajesh Bhan (Amit Syal) — try to control phishing, but phishing controls local elections.
Apart from returning Srivastava, Panwar and Syal, Jamtara Season 2 stars Anshuman Pushkar as Rocky, Divyendu Bhattacharya as Inspector Biswa Pathak and Aksha Pardhasani as SP Dolly Sahu. The second season of Jamtara: Sabka Noor Ayeaga is all set to introduce at least two new characters played by the likes of Ravi Chahal and Seema Pahwa (Ramprasad Ki Teharvi).
National award winner Soumendra Padhi returns as director along with season 1 writer Trishant Srivastava. Ajith Andhare is the producer. Jamtara Season 2 is a production of Tipping Point, owned by Viacom18 Studios.
As revealed by Netflix, Jamtara Season 1 spent the most time in the “Top 10” of any Indian title in 2020. The second season was officially greenlit in March 2021, when Kartavya Kabra, Sarfraz Ali Mirza, Rohit KP, Harshit Gupta, Atma Prakash Mishra and Udit Arora were also announced as a part. Jamtara Season 2. Kanishk Singh Dev and Ashwin Varman were also named as writers along with Srivastava, though it is unclear if they are still involved.
For Netflix India, Jamtara Season 2 of the reality TV series Fabulous Wives of Bollywood Wives on September 2 and the true-crime docu-series Indian Predator: The Diary of a Serial Killer on September 7 is one of three local originals in season 2.
