New Delhi:

External Affairs Minister of India S Jaishankar has said that India has made the whole world feel its power. He said that there was a time when India had a quarter of the total economy of the world, but it lost everything in slavery. Now we are growing fast. In the last 75 years we have now become the fifth largest economy in the world. And the day is not far when India will be overwhelmed. He said that India has set a target of becoming a developed country by the year 2047, to achieve which we are moving forward.

Addressing the ‘India@75: India-UN Partnership in Action’ event in New York, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar said that in the 18th century, India accounted for about a quarter of the world’s total economy. By the middle of the 20th century, slavery had made India one of the poorest countries in the world. But after 75 years of independence, India is the 5th largest economy in the world and we are growing rapidly. Our development on digital public infrastructure is designed in such a way that no one is left behind.

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said that with the help of digital technology, 80 crore people have been provided ration under food security…India aims to become a developed country by 2047. We aim to digitize even our remotest villages and are working fast on it. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said- India is committed to strengthen its partnership with the United Nations to ensure a brighter future for the planet. We have full faith in the principles and charter of the United Nations. In our view the world is one family.
