House of the Dragon Episode 6 Trailer: Decade-Long Time Jump Stirs Up Even More Rumours in the Kingdom

The trailer of House of the Dragon Episode 6 has been released. HBO dropped a preview for next week’s episode of the Game of Thrones prequel series, now that we’re halfway through the season. House of the Dragon Episode 6, titled “The Princess and the Queen,” sees Prince Damon (Matt Smith) attacked 10 years later by Ser Christon Cole (Fabian Frankel), accusing him of murdering his cousin during a royal banquet. House of the Dragon Episode 6 premieres on September 26 at 6:30 am IST/ September 25 at 9 pm ET on Disney+ Hotstar and HBO Max.

The trailer for House of the Dragon Episode 6 opens with a Targaryen romance addressing the “latest developments” in the kingdom. It’s revealed that Prince Daemon left the region unscathed a decade ago, leaving a sick and weak King Viserys (Paddy Considine) behind, who was shocked at the end of Episode 5. The House of the Dragon Episode 6 trailer later revealed older versions of Queen Allysent Hightower and Princess Rhaenyra, who tied the knot with Lainor Velarion, despite knowing their sexual preferences.

Going forward, in House of the Dragon, the younger versions of Millie Alcock and Emily Carey, the more mature Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke will completely change. That said, their feud remains, with Rhaenyra holding a grudge against her former best friend, wanting the right to the Iron Throne. The House of the Dragon Episode 6 trailer then cuts to show a grown-up Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney), training and perfecting his swordsmanship in front of a small audience. Among the cheering crowd is his father, King Viserys, who had earlier dispatched Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifens) from his role as Hand of the King. There is also a brief glimpse of Alicent’s other son, Emond, facing the dragon.

Before Rhaenyra and Lenore’s wedding in House of the Dragon Episode 5, Ser Kristen Cole kills his lover at a pre-wedding celebration. As Laenor was homosexual by nature, the couple agreed that they would seek sex elsewhere, avoiding any further scandal. The House of the Dragon episode 6 preview indicates that the residents of King’s Landing are suspicious of her offspring, with many believing that they are not actually Lenore’s children. What’s more, none of the offspring have the signature Targaryen blonde hair. “Having such a child is a mistake. To have three is an insult,” a concerned Elicent tells the king.

New House of the Dragon episodes air every Monday on Disney+ Hotstar in India at 6:30 am IST and Sundays at 9 pm ET on HBO Max wherever available. The first season consists of 10 episodes. Starting with season 2, co-showrunner Miguel Sapochnik will step aside as executive producer after exiting the project earlier this month.
